Overview
Sorsogon is the southernmost province of Luzon, subdivided into fourteen municipalities and one city. It serves a trans-shipment point from the Visayas and Mindanao provinces and is dubbed as the gateway to Southern Philippines. Sorsogon City is known as the “Land of Kasanggayahan or “A Life of Prosperity” and one of the region’s leading cities in urbanization.
From its amazing tourist destinations to its heartwarming and friendly locals, Sorsogon has a lot to offer.
Bulusan Volcano Natural Park, the park that holds the real beauty of nature and is one of the ideal destinations for kayakers. One may enjoy the luxurious view of the Bulusan Volcano, the mountains, the chilly weather, and the habitual silence of the lake.
The famous Donsol, an ideal place to unwind wherein one may enjoy from whale shark watching, snorkeling, and diving.
Calintaan Island, famous for its Subic Beach, dip your toes into the fantastic pink sand with crystal clear water.
Getting in there is one can have it through plane and buses . The faster way to get there is by plane but if one is looking for a cheaper cost, hop in a bus from Manila is a better choice. It would take 2 rides, first is from Manila to Legazpi City which will take about 10 to 12 hours travel, and another ride of less than an hour from Legazpi City to Sorsogon. Ferry boats are also available preferably if one is coming from the southern part of the Philippines.
